Isaiah Martin is a proud Houston native, loyal brother and son, and a dedicated advocate.

Isaiah’s upbringing instilled in him the values of service, resilience, and a deep commitment to his community.

Isaiah emerged as a leader at the University of Houston, where he founded #ForTheStudents and spearheaded initiatives that tackled pressing issues such as campus voting access, food insecurity, and sexual assault support. His efforts led to the creation of the Full Support partnership which provided free rape kits and resources for students across multiple Houston-area universities. When Greg Abbott made long voting lines an obstacle, Isaiah collaborated with local officials to transform UH’s football stadium into a polling location, ensuring greater access to the ballot box.

No one has been more impactful on Isaiah’s life than his hero, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee. Isaiah worked alongside the Congresswoman in both Houston and Washington, D.C., gaining firsthand experience in making government work for people. Congresswoman Jackson Lee taught him that leadership is about action, not just words and most importantly, we can’t ever give up the fight for what’s right.

Isaiah carries forward Congresswoman Jackson Lee’s legacy with an unshakeable belief in a Democratic Party that has a spine and fights back against Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans as they try to tear down programs that lift up the most vulnerable. That’s why over the past year, Isaiah traveled across the country helping elect Democrats in Battleground Districts and worked tirelessly for Kamala Harris’s campaign for President. He also hosts a nightly TikTok Live that calls out MAGA overreach and includes a call-to-action. It averages 30,000 viewers each night.

Now, Isaiah is ready to take his experience, community-focused passion for problem-solving to Congress. With Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans enacting policies that make life harder for everyday Texans, he is determined to fight back and bring young, effective leadership to level-up Houston’s neighborhoods and ensure a future that works for all.

Isaiah is still a member of the Church he grew up in and where he served as a Junior Knight of Peter Claver, St. Mary’s. When he has any free time, you can find Isaiah watching sports or spending time with his family.
